Business Development Support Associate

Business Management Research Associates (BMRA) is seeking experienced instructors to join our team to deliver certified contracting and acquisition classes to federal employees in the Washington, DC area, around the nation and abroad. Our reputation of hard work, integrity, and professionalism has led to key contracts. BMRA is looking to grow its cadre of instructional designers and employ those who desire to make a difference in the training needs of the government.​

BMRA is a 45-year old company, having advanced the careers of more than 400,000 government and industry employees by presenting Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer’s Representative and acquisition course training. BMRA is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that delivers courses targeted for FAC-C or DAWIA certifications. Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and inquisitive business development associate to help drive our sales and grow the business. You will provide market research, managing a variety of projects, and support new and existing business opportunities for the business development team. You will work with various departments and report to the business development manager.

The successful applicant will be resourceful, organized and motivated to increase sales, enhance the company's reputation, and look for new and creative ways to mine opportunities. A background in or desire to operate in sales and marketing environment is strongly desirable.



  • Conducting market research and identifying potential clients using currently defined processes as well as seek to identify new sources of lead generation

  • Entering, maintaining and reporting of client information in the CRM database

  • Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies

  • Assist with drafting business responses to solicitations for market research and for quotations, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients

  • Gather and draft monthly, quarterly and annual reports for contract awards for approval by the business development manager


  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or related field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure

  • Strong organization and project management skills

  • Friendly and personable demeanor

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SalesForce
