IACET Certification
BMRA has been accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102. In obtaining this approval, BMRA has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard which is widely recognized as the Standard of good practice internationally. As a result of their Authorized Provider accreditation status, BMRA is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) & Continuous Learning Points (CLPs)
One IACET CEU is awarded for each ten clock hours (sixty-minutes=one clock hour) of instruction hours involved in the program. Instructional hours do not include time involved in coffee breaks, meals, social activities or business and committee meetings.
CLP conversion is 10 CLPs per 1 CEU.
BMRA is able to provide students with the corresponding CEUs listed below for courses based on IACET CEU Standards and 8 hour days (including breaks). In order for BMRA to accommodate more CEUS/CLPs, an agreement can be arranged so that students will receive more hours/credits. For example, longer class hours and/or homework assignments to convert a five day course from 3 CEUs/30 CLPs to 4 CEUs/40 CLPs.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
As an IACET Authorized Provider, BMRA offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. The number of CEUs that may be earned by successfully completing BMRA courses is based on the number of hours of continuous interaction with the instructor, and is as follows:
1-Day courses .6 CEUs (6 CLPs)
2-Day courses 1.2 CEUs (12 CLPs)
3-Day courses 1.8 CEUs (18 CLPs)
4-Day courses 2.4 CEUs (24 CLPs)
5-Day courses 3 CEUs (30 CLPs)
8-Day courses 4.8 CEUs (48 CLPs)
10-Day courses 6 CEUs (60 CLPs)
Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) Definition (From OMB Policy Letter of January 20,
2006):
"The Federal Acquisition Certification in Federal Contracting Program (FAC-C),
Agency Acquisition Career Managers and supervisors are instructed to use CEUs as
a guide for assigning Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) for formal training programs
that award CEUs. Each CEU can be converted to 10 CLPs."
